Classic Worship
Classic worship is traditional, Christ-centered worship that proclaims God’s truth through the rich heritage of Lutheran liturgy and hymns. This service is designed for you if:
- You would like to experience a classic style liturgy service and sing traditional hymns
- You prefer hymns rather than praise songs and organ rather than guitar or keyboard for congregational singing
- You love the intimacy and reverence of a small sanctuary
- You enjoy worship enhanced by choir, handbells, orchestral instruments and soloists

Celebration of Holy Communion at King of Kings
Our Lord Jesus Christ meets us during our worship in His gracious gift called Holy Communion. In Holy Communion, our Lord Jesus is truly present as He gives us not only bread and wine but His body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and one another (Matthew 26:26-28). Our Lord invites to His table those who trust His words, repent of all sin (1 Corinthians 5:11, 13) and set aside any refusal to forgive and love others as He forgives and loves us (Matthew 6:15). At His table we profess His death until He returns (1 Corinthians 11:25).
Our gathering together at Jesus’ table also gives us the opportunity to profess our common faith as one church family (1 Corinthians 10:17). Members of sister Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations are encouraged to introduce themselves to the pastor and are welcome to commune with us. If you are not a member of the LCMS or have not participated in your first communion following confirmation, but would like to receive a blessing during Holy Communion, you are welcome to come forward and fold your hands over your heart as you stand with those communing.
If you would like to learn more about what King of Kings’ teaches and believes or how to become a member of King of Kings’ family of faith, the pastor would be eager to meet with you. Please feel free to get in touch with Pastor Doug at (513) 398-6089 or e-mail him at pastor.doug@koklcms.org. You can also visit our membership information page for more information.
