Membership Information

How do I become a member of King of Kings?

There are two pathways toward membership at King of Kings.

1. New to the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod

King of Kings is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). As such we adhere to and are bound together by our churches doctrine (teachings) or what is referred to as our confession. It is important for those desiring to join this congregation to be familiar with what we believe, teach and confess as LCMS Lutherans in order to faithfully and consciencously join in the fellowship and unity of this body of believes.  If you are coming to us from a Fatih tradition outside of the LCMS we would invite you to participate in our new member class. Pastor holds these classes periodically throughout the year as need arises. For more information and to register for the next new member class contact the KOK church office via email or telephone (513) 398-6089.

2. Transferring Membership From Another Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Congregation.

Changing congregational membership is never an easy thing and should not be take lightly. There are, however, a variety of circumstance which make a change of membership necessary, the most common of which is a geographical move. If you are currently a member of another LCMS congregation and desire to switch your membership to King of Kings we ask that you first speak to the pastor regarding your current situation. Should a change in membership be deemed appropriate this can be done by by simply contacting your former congregation and requesting a peaceful transfer to King of Kings Lutheran Church.
